SHINING STARS LEARNING CENTER Cook in FOND DU LAC, Wisconsin
JOB REQUIREMENTS: Prepares and/or serves breakfast, lunches, and snacks for children enrolled in the childcare center. Plans weekly menus, develops shopping lists, calculates amounts of food and makes purchases. Organizes and cleans kitchen according to health department standards. Maintain nutritional requirements as identified by supervisor Monitor and record food temperatures to ensure food safety. Cook foodstuffs according to menus, special dietary or nutritional restrictions, or numbers of portions to be served. Rotate and store food supplies. Wash pots, pans, dishes, utensils, or other cooking equipment. Apportion and serve food to facility residents, employees, or patrons. Take inventory of supplies and equipment. Plan menus that are varied, nutritionally balanced, and appetizing, taking advantage of foods in season and local availability. Monitor menus and spending to ensure that meals are prepared economically. Compile and maintain records of food use and expenditures. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Your responsibilities include ensuring enough food is available each day and that each meal is USDA food guide compliant.
