Overview
This staff psychologist position conducts psychological testing and supports psychological testing services in accordance with M Health Fairview Counseling system goals, including pre-bariatric psychological evaluations, adult ADHD evaluations, and general psychological evaluations for clarification of psychiatric diagnoses. Documents and recommends psychological interventions based on the results of psychological evaluations and in conjunction with the interdisciplinary treatment team. Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning. Provides consultation to staff on behavioral/psychological management of patients. Provides individual (possibly family/couples) therapy if interested. Maintains appropriate and timely treatment and documentation. Participates in regular case consult and departmental meetings. Responsive to department and system requirements for quality assurance and customer satisfaction. Accepts assignments in support of department initiatives consistent with advanced degree, training and experience.
Responsibilities Job Description
Conducts diagnostic evaluations and documents assessment in medical record
Confers diagnoses as appropriate
Provides psychological testing
Conducts and analyzes psychometric testing and combines with diagnostic interview and background information when completing psychological evaluations
Conducts specialty evaluations to support accurate diagnostic and treatment protocols
Completes all psychological testing reports/documentation and billing in a timely manner
Provides consultative support regarding psychological testing to M Health clinical staff
Provides individual therapy services (optional, depending on provider interest)
Provides therapy using an organized, structured, evidence-based therapy approach
Maintains accurate, complete, and timely documentation in medical records
Ensures compliance with both departmental and M Health Fairview policies and standards for inclusion of required documentation
Maintains consistency with all applicable timelines for documentation
Completes required processes for client registration and treatment authorization and billing
Develops and maintains positive and collaborative relationships
Promotes open and effective lines of communication with all active and potential customers
Actively promotes integrated care delivery through proactive collaboration with primary care medical and behavioral health providers
Interacts in a positive and facilitative manner with all internal and external customers
Communicates effectively and respectfully with others
Demonstrates ability to provide care or service appropriate to the developmental level, cultural background, and specific needs of patients being served
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Doctoral Degree in Psychology
Licensed as LP in the State of Minnesota
Preferred Qualifications
5 years post-LP licensure
Experience with telehealth care delivery
Knowledge of health conditions and common co-morbidities
