Summary About the Position: This is a Lead Training Instructor GS-1712-13, position with the Army Tank-Automotive and Armament Command (TACOM), Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC), Materiel Fielding and Training Directorate located at Fort Cavazos, Texas. This position is a TERM Not to Exceed 13 months position. It is time limited and may be extended up to a maximum of eight years. Responsibilities Monitor statuses and completed work to ensure that supervisors instructions on work priorities, methods, deadlines, and quality have been met. Prepare reports; maintain records of work accomplishments and administrative information. Assess team strengths and weaknesses and provide leadership to the to the team in exploring alternatives and determined what improvements can be made. Oversee training development; advise and mentor instructors on various systems and sub-systems. Lead the team in identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow, skill level and occupational specialization. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1. Convey operating and maintenance training on weapon systems for motor vehicles., 2. Developing training course materials., and 3. Utilizing automated training tracking systems to evaluate results. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
