POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a creative, high-performing, and intrapreneurial engineer to join our team in developing next-generation Advanced Energy products for the Semiconductor and Industrial temperature measurement and control industries. The role involves applied research, design, development, testing, manufacturing, and documentation of products and systems. You will work with customers to understand requirements, analyze and validate design concepts, and provide direction to engineers and technicians. This position is ideal for an engineer eager to learn new measurement techniques, tackle complex problems, and take on diverse tasks within a nimble and efficient team. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and test analog circuitry for photodetectors

  • Guide firmware team on analog-digital interface design

  • Develop test software using LabView and Visual Studio

  • Design and analyze products to meet specifications and goals

  • Diagnose and resolve design and performance issues

  • Implement corrective actions to improve quality

  • Generate necessary documentation and paperwork

  • Follow and improve engineering procedures

  • Develop documentation for assembly and test procedures

  • Design and implement manufacturing test fixtures

  • Maintain databases for manufacturing builds and test results

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Works in a standard office environment utilizing standard office equipment, engineering lab and in a manufacturing facility

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience

  • Pay and title will be dependent on education and experience

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Independent judgment within defined procedures

  • Ability to solve complex technical problems independently and collaboratively

  • Experience in balancing competing priorities

  • Proficiency in engineering concepts, analytical methods, CAD tools, diagnostic instruments, lab skills, and component/material selection

  • Ability to follow general instructions for routine work and detailed instructions for new projects

  • Desired: Familiarity with photodiode circuitry, photonics, and photo-electronics

  • Highly desirable: Experience in designing test boards and LabView software

EDUCATION

  • B.S. Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or equivalent

COMPENSATION:

As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $88,000 to $128,000 USD per year.
