Allient Inc. Manufacturing Engineer Manager in FORT DRUM, New York

The Manufacturing Engineer Manager is responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing processes and methods for all factory products. They will Provide dynamic leadership and will be responsible of all aspects of the business (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Productivity, Financials, Continuous Improvements, etc.). This working manager position requires a proactive, tactical thinker who has a record of contributing to a systematic and profitable manufacturing operation. Apply now!Responsibilities:  Provides leadership and focus in directing the Value Stream Teams, in execution of Strategic Initiatives, and in supporting other functional areas of production, purchasing, engineering, maintenance, and logistics.  Identifies and executes plans to satisfy the necessary facilities, equipment and tooling requirements to meet operational goals. Reviews new technology to continuously improve and to assist in growing the factory.  Develops and manages capital expenditures and project related budgets.  Identifies federal, state and local laws pertaining to the manufacturing operation. Establishes, executes and maintains the plan to satisfy these requirements.  Collects and analyzes manufacturing, quality control, scrap, maintenance and operations reports to determine causes of nonconformity with product specifications and manufacturing processes. Drives problem resolution.  Supports the recruitment, development and succession planning strategies.  Commits to championing plant and company-wide initiatives including performance review meetings, AST/Lean initiatives, Asaichi sessions, quality assurance, safety and the strategic development efforts.  Contributes to fostering a positive work environment within the factory to stimulate and encourage all employees to be involved in identifying and solving factory problems. Minimum Qualifications:  Bachelors Degree, preferably in electrical, mechanical, or quality engineering. MBA preferred.  At least 10 years of experience manufacturing experience. Proven managerial experience.  Excellent experience with vendor and customer relationship management.  Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational computer skills include MS Office, MRP systems is a plus  Ability to lead teams of various disciplines including business, technical and lean focused  Strong knowledge of quality systems/standards such as AS9100, IATF 16949, ISO 9001 is a plus Physical Demands:  The role is mostly production floor based and will require the ability to walk and stand frequently.  Will operate a computer, other office devices. Occasionally will have to lift and/or transport items weighing up to 40 pounds.
