U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command Supervisory Intelligence Specialist (Operations) in Fort Eisenhower, Georgia

Summary About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is with the 780th MI BDE, 782D MI BN serving as a senior Cryptologic Cyberspace Operations Specialist analyzing events to exploit captured media or investigate computer security incidents, located at Fort Eisenhower, GA. Responsibilities Using expertise of digital network intelligence and Signals intelligence (SIGINT)/Computer Network Exploitation (CNE) to identify foreign computer network vulnerabilities. Planning and directing the activities of the office and providing technical and administrative supervision over the subordinate positions. Overseeing and/or performing analysis in support of Cyber Network Operations and Cyber Warfare plans, strategies and operations for the control and application of cyber capabilities. Conducting analysis to establish target identification and operational patterns in support of Intelligence Requirements. Developing analytic working aids and databases to support target collection, identification, and location. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one (1) year of experience equivalent to at least the GG/GS-13 grade level, or equivalent, which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience deriving information from intrusion detection system alerts, firewall and network traffic logs, and host system logs to identify events occurring on computer networks; identifying and assessing foreign computer network capabilities, vulnerabilities, personalities that pose a threat to US computers; and/or conducting advanced analysis to establish target identification and operational patterns of computer security incidents. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service (GG/GS-13). Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data.
