Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DoD Direct Hire Authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Position is located at US Army Combined Arms Center, The Army University, Directorate Digital Educacation. Responsibilities As an Operations Research Analyst, you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list: Serve as a system analyst team member or an individual analyst. Plan and organize assignments, analyzing assignments to determine individual problems to be considered. Review reports of prior work in the field to determine what available solutions can be used. Participate in the statistical design of qualitative assessments tests, development of independent evaluation plans, snd subsequent analyses for assigned projects. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. BASIC EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Successful completion of a bachelor's or higher degree in operations research or successful completion of a bachelor's or higher degree with at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 hours must be in calculus. NOTE: Transcripts are required at the time of application. In addition to meeting the basic education requirement above, you must also meet the specialized experience requirements below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes experience in applying analytical techniques to identify/evaluate trends, relationships, and deficiencies to manage training; and also applying/adapting standard approaches to gather, analyze and evaluate data/information concerning complex processes, operations and/or questions. Education FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
