Background:

Position Summary

This is a Constructive Simulation Functional Operators (Military Training Specialist) position at the SESD, National Simulation Center, Fort Gregg Adams, VA in support of the National Simulation Center (NSC) Support Operations (SO) task order under MTCCS II IDIQ.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (associated discipline);

• 5 yrs. experience in information systems development, training, or related fields;

• 5 yrs. service in, or support to, the Army or other national defense service;

• 3 yrs. experience developing and providing IT and end-user training on computer HW and application SW;

• 3 yrs. MCIS teaching experience;

• 2 yrs. hands-on experience with constructive simulation systems used in military training environments, such as JLCCTC, WARSIM, JDLM, or other relevant platforms;

• Knowledge and understanding of the technical aspects of simulation systems, including SW installation, configuration, and maintenance and integration;

• Experience managing and configuring servers, workstations, and network HW;

• Knowledge of virtualization technologies, cloud services, and network security practices.

  Support Hours: The contractor is responsible for conducting business while the facility is open, between the hours of 0730-1630 Monday thru Friday except Federal holidays or when the Government facility is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government directed facility closings. Contractors may work in an alternative workplace when the Government facility is closed. In the event of a Government Shutdown, the contractor may work in the facility, if open/manned, or in an alternative workplace.

  Place of Performance: The work to be performed under this contract will be performed at Fort Leavenworth, KS. All Contractor employees shall abide by local guidance at each installation as it pertains to access, face coverings, physical distancing, and mandatory quarantine policies. Any unknowns or uncertainties will be resolved with the KO or COR for questions or concerns.

  Travel: The Contractor will be authorized travel expenses consistent with the substantive provisions of the Joint Travel Regulation (JTR) and the limitation of funds specified in this contract.
