Description ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: This is a 1st Shift Position Has the authority to issue tools and equipment to workers, including all maintenance and repair items. Maintains a record of tools and equipment issued and returned, either manually or by a computer in accordance with company guidelines. Locates lost or misplaced tools or equipment. Prepares periodic inventory or maintains perpetual inventory of tools, equipment and repair parts. Has the authority to receive, unpack, and store incoming tools, equipment, repair parts, and consumables and requisition stock to replenish inventory according to specific guidelines. Maintains inventory of all die repair items including punches, buttons, springs and requisition stock to replenish inventory as directed. Marks and identifies tools, equipment, and repair parts using identification tags, stamps, or electric marking tools. Completion of monthly PMs for fire extinguishers, spill kits, eyewash / shower stations, and special waste. UPS shipments (incoming and outgoing) to include matching receivers with PO's, returns, double shipments, repairs. Enter steel receiving paperwork into Plex. Downtime entry Controls inventory of gloves and maintains proper 5S of glove storage areas. Maintains physical inventory in tool crib. Completes adjustment sheet when required. Maintains PM and PO filing systems. In EMS, works with MRO buyer to supervisor universal waste and hazardous communication as needed. Responsible for MSDS sheets, container labeling and other related issues called out in hazardous communication controlled documents. Treats all other team members with respect and dignity. Performs other essential functions as assigned.
