Responsibilities:

  • Program, set up, and operate CNC machines (lathes, mills, grinders).

  • Utilize MasterCam software to create and optimize CNC programs.

  • Analyze job orders, blueprints, and design data to determine machining specifications.

  • Conduct regular machinery inspections to ensure performance and safety.

  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

  • Assist in designing and writing machine programs, ensuring accuracy.

  • Inspect and deburr parts using measuring instruments to meet blueprint specifications.

  • Maintain quality and safety standards, recordkeeping, and tool maintenance.

  • Operate conventional mills, lathes, and other equipment as required.

  • Perform additional tasks assigned by management, following safety procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED, Trade school preferred with CAD proficiency.

  • Minimum 5 years' Machinist experience, including 2 years as a Programmer.

  • Tight tolerance experience (+/- .0001) preferred.

  • Proficient in production processes like cutting, molding, forming, or assembly.

  • Skilled in using measuring instruments such as calipers and gauges.

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting complex blueprints, G and M code.

  • Cross-training and multitasking abilities.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork.
