ARC Group is currently offering an immediate opportunity for a Senior Internal Auditor in the vibrant city of Miami, FL. We are seeking an experienced Internal Auditor with proficiency in operational and financial auditing, coupled with SOX expertise, to become an integral part of our client's diverse professional team in Miami, FL. Internal Auditor Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive financial, operational, and internal controls audits, including a focus on SOX/Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
  • Evaluate the adequacy of internal controls throughout the company, conducting tests across various areas such as Order to Cash Cycle (Revenue, Shipping, Invoicing and Customer Payments), Purchase to Pay Cycle (Purchasing, Receiving and Vendor Payments), Financial Reporting, Human Resources, Inventory, Fixed Assets, Taxes, Selling and Marketing, and Risk Management (Investments and Financial Commitments).
  • Perform quarterly audits of subsidiary financial results to ensure alignment with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and to verify freedom from material errors.
  • Conduct risk-based audits of subsidiary headquarters and store locations, aiming to enhance operational efficiency, effectiveness, and overall profitability.
  • Provide practical and real-world recommendations to improve efficiency, effectiveness, internal controls, and profitability, with a focus on risk reduction.
  • Communicate audit findings and recommendations to organizational leadership, ensuring comprehensive and transparent reporting.

Internal Auditor Requirements:

  • Possess 5 or more years of hands-on experience in operational and financial auditing controls.
  • Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years of practical experience with Sarbanes-Oxley/Internal Controls.
  • Hold a bachelors degree in accounting or finance.
  • Exhibit the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines, showcasing self-motivation and a commitment to achieving high-quality work results.
  • Thrive in a collaborative, drama-free environment and display strong interpersonal skills.
  • Enjoy a diverse range of tasks and excel in an environment that values empowerment and responsibility.
  • Demonstrate robust analytical skills, with a capacity to identify pragmatic solutions in a dynamic and ever-changing work environment.
  • Possess a strong technical understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
  • Showcase excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Display proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • While not mandatory, CIA and/or CPA certifications are preferred.
  • Exhibit a willingness to travel, approximately 25% throughout the United States, with limited travel to Canada and Mexico.
