We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Accountant to join our accounting team. The Project Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our projects, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards.
The ideal candidate will have experience in project accounting and a thorough understanding of cost tracking and financial management for various types of projects.

Responsibilities
Develop and manage project budgets in collaboration with project managers.
Monitor and update budgets throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare financial forecasts to anticipate future financial needs and outcomes.
Track and record all project-related costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
Implement cost control measures to keep projects within budget.
Analyze cost variances and report any discrepancies to project management.
Generate regular financial reports for project stakeholders, including budget vs. actual reports, profit and loss statements, and cash flow projections.
Ensure that financial reports are accurate, timely, and compliant with company policies and regulations.
Manage invoicing processes for project-related expenses and ensure timely payments to vendors and subcontractors.
Handle billing to clients and ensure prompt collection of receivables.
Reconcile project accounts and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
Review and understand project contracts to ensure compliance with financial terms and conditions.
Process and track change orders, ensuring that all financial implications are documented and approved.
Perform month-end and year-end close procedures for project accounts.
Prepare and post journal entries related to project finances.
Reconcile project accounts to the general ledger
