Bi-weekly reviews and lists will be sent to management starting 14 JAN 2025; additional lists may be sent at management request. Responsibilities Acts as water safety instructor. Manages all swimming lessons and instructs when scheduled. Develops swim program according to students' ability and promotes students to higher level of swimming according to their skills. Instructs all levels of swimming and appropriate strokes, to include; front crawl, back crawl, elementary backstroke, breaststroke, sidestroke and butterfly. Introduces and instructs safety and survival skills to students, when appropriate to level of instruction. Instructors work with lifeguards to ensure that swim lessons are safe at all times. Teach students from age groups of infant through adults. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Work experience related to the duties described above and possession of the following certificates: Water Safety Instructor Certification Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) First Aid Certification Highly desirable possession of a Lifeguard Certification (Certificates issue by American Red Cross, Ellis @ Associates, Star Guard or other nationally recognized agencies are acceptable and MUST be uplaoded at time of application.) Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.
