Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Data Scientist Jr to join our team! In this role you will get to analyze unstructured and semi-structured data, including latent semantic indexing (LSI), entity identification and tagging, CEP, and the applies analysis algorithms to distributed, clustered, and cloud-based high-performance infrastructures.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Handle processing and index requests against high-volume collections of data and high-velocity data streams and utilize advance tools and computational skills to interpret, connect, predict and make discoveries in complex data and deliver recommendations for business and analytic decisions.

  • Leverage experience with data transport and transformation APIs and technologies such as JSON, XML, XSLT, JDBC, SOAP and REST. Additionally, they leverage experience with Cloud-based data analysis tools including Hadoop and Mahout, Acumulo, Hive, Impala, Pig, and similar as well as visual analytic tools like Microsoft Pivot, Palantir, or Visual Analytics.

  • Contributing significantly to the execution of various tasks under the Technology Solutions & Enterprise Architecture (EA) subtask.

  • Work closely with team members to produce comprehensive written content that supports the integration, research, design, and development of EA projects with the Technical Writer assists in mid- and long-term Enterprise and strategic C4 planning, ensuring that all documentation aligns with the overarching goals and strategies.

  • Develop and refine documentation that facilitates smooth operation and understanding of data handling processes and procedures, including Big Data, across the SIE, and they support DevSecOps initiatives as related to SIE Cloud efforts by developing precise documentation that aids new technology development and implementation.

  • Work alongside the Government to identify and analyze system and process gaps, documenting findings and developing solutions to address identified gaps. These solutions include detailed implementation plans to ensure that all documentation meets quality standards and includes necessary training materials to support Government personnel.

  • Ensure that all documentation adheres to PMBOK standards and provide transition support upon project completion.

  • Develops and supports a centrally managed data warehouse as part of a team by providing dedicated database development support services to ensure the efficient functioning of this data repository, to include developing, migrating, testing, documenting, and integrating both current and legacy GOTS and COTS databases, software, applications, and content.

  • Provide training material input to training staff. They assist in performing training when technical expertise is required.

  • Apply fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments and perform work that requires practical experience and training.

  • Work under the technical guidance and supervision of Journeyman staff.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Must have a current Secret clearance

  • BS Degree with 3+ years expereince.

Salary Range:

$83,300.00 - $145,800.00
