Summary This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DHA - Cybersecurity & Related Positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This is a permanent IT Cybersecurity Specialsit (INFOSEC) in Fort Liberty, North Carolina. Responsibilities Provides PKI support for operational networks to ensure secure communication and compliance with cryptographic standards. Coordinate work schedules and prioritizes cyber security program goals and support mission requirements. Advises leadership on cyber security risks that IT matters to guide risk based decision making Implements authorization processes for DoD IT systems to ensure compliance. Manages cyber security programs by enforcing DoD directives. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Monitoring security system networks to ensure compliance with organizational security policies; Regulates applications that are onboarded onto core networks; Performing system backups and software reloads to maintain the integrity and availability of IT systems; analyzing system failures and recommending solutions to improve operational efficiency. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). My specialized experience includes, or was supplemented by, information technology related experience (paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training, as appropriate) which demonstrates each of the four competencies, as defined:( 1) Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Examples of IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: expressing facts and ideas in a clear, concise, convincing, and organized manner; clearly conveying moderately complex ideas, concepts, and information to customers; exhibiting active listening by demonstrating understanding of audience comments and/or questions; and (4) Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.
