SAIC Web Developer in FORT LIBERTY, North Carolina

Description

SAIC is seeking a Database Developer to be a member of the Software Engineering team in support of the U.S Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) Headquarters G6. The Database Developer responsibilities includes understanding customer requirements and objectives, designing and developing database schemas, and supporting web team application development, collaborating with subject matter experts, and providing technical expertise to produce results. Determines user needs, programming techniques, and prepares operating instructions and users’ guides. Ensures development meets software standards and security compliance. The Database Developer position is a deployable position.

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain high-quality database schema to be used by various web application and reporting.

  • Develop, implement, and optimize stored procedures and functions using T-SQL

  • Review and interpret ongoing business report requirements and build appropriate and useful reporting deliverables.

  • Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements and profiling.

  • Develop procedures and scripts for data migration.

  • Provide timely scheduled management reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, and 9 years of experience. OR the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience

  • 9+ years of working experience using databases and creating stored procedures in SQL Server using T-SQL and designing database schema.

  • 8140/8570 Information Assurance Technical Level II (IAT II) Certification (minimum CompTIA Security+) compliance.

  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI clearance.

  • Extensive knowledge and experience with relational RDBMS concepts, design, architecture, and operations.

  • Extensive experience with development of SQL DML, Stored Procedures, Triggers, and Functions.

  • In-depth knowledge of database administration concepts, SQL queries, performance tuning, profiler, and optimization
