ManTech Cybersecurity Engineer IV in Fort Meade, Maryland
ManTech is looking for a highly motivated and qualified Cybersecurity Engineer IV, Ft Meade/NBP . The ideal candidate will perform as and manage the full spectrum of systems engineering tasks to include requirements analysis, feature, system and interface design, system integration, system testing, as well as working with the modeling team in support of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and all associated documentation.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
Lead on ensuring the cybersecurity for the project's information systems.
Ensuring effective controls, countermeasures, processes are in place and optimized to maintain a strong organizational and system security posture.
Planning and verifying the implementation of updates, patches, and routine maintenance of project systems.
Overseeing COTS cybersecurity solutions and assess the efficacy both as a security tool as well as a data source.
Providing direction and mentoring subordinate project and ICON Innovation Collaborative (IIC) staff.
Performing and managing the full spectrum of systems engineering tasks to include requirements analysis, feature, system and interface design, system integration, system testing, as well as working with the modeling team in support of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and all associated documentation.
taking on the role as a product owner depending on the TDL project requirements, to lead a software development team while managing risks, escalating impediments, and helping to drive continuous process improvement.
Performing systems engineering tasks within time-boxed (e.g., agile) sprints and releases, supports sprint and release planning activities and the creation of and/or input to work tickets (e.g., Jira), as well as program/system documentation using collaboration software (e.g., Confluence)
Supporting and employing MBSE approach for systems planning, design, execution, and sustainment in coordination with the Systems Engineering team members.
Helping to define processes for technical platforms, system specifications, input/output and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility andassists in the development and maintenance of systems engineering documentation and diagrams/models working in coordination/collaboration with TDL Project Team members.
Assisting in establishing Systems Engineering processes and tools to accomplish analysis, problem diagnosis and solution design, integration and test preparation, risk assessment and mitigation planning, and related activities.
Determiningsolid understanding of software features to plan for current and upcoming releases.
Assistingwith daily scrums and document inputs/actions/status, holding Agile ceremony meetings with the software development team, and participating in release planning, scrum of scrums, bug triage and other pertinent meetings.
Coordinating with test team members on release/hotfix testing, reporting release status to the Project Manager and project staff and Customer as needed.
Assistingwith resolution of technical issues that adversely impact successful product delivery, assisting with identifying and supporting external dependencies where needed.
Acting as a consultant to the whole Systems Engineering team, and providing thought leadership, problem solving, and participatingin difficult situations to leverage the capability of the Systems Engineering team as a whole.
Minimum qualifications :
12 years of position-specific relevant experience.
Bachelor's degree in an IT-related discipline.
DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level-III Certification within 6 months of commencing work on the Task Order.
Preferred qualifications:
- Relevant industry standard certifications such as Cloud platform certifications (AWS, Azure); Security certification (Security+, CASP, CISSP); Tool certifications (Tenable Security Center Specialist, Tanium Certified Administrator, ServiceNow Certified System Administrator)
Security clearance requirement:
- Must have a current/active TS/SCI and be willing and able to obtain a polygraph.
Physical requirements:
Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time.
Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer.
