REQUIREMENTS: Strong mechanical skills A proven commitment to a safe and efficient operation The ability to read, write, and communicate effectively The ability to adapt well to changes and be able to work in a wide variety of settings throughout all levels of the organization The ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts and endure prolonged standing and walking, up to 12 hours The ability to lift up to 50 pounds A belief in good maintenance practices His/her own hand tools
EDUCATION High School Diploma or Equivalent
EXPERIENCE/SPECIAL SKILLS BASIC Maintenance experience Computer knowledge Welding / Cutting / Fabrication skills Ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment Skills to safely operate forklifts and front-end loaders Knowledge of sugar factory processes and equipment Equipment lubrication process knowledge / experience The ability to read and understand basic blueprints and mechanical drawings
WAGE: Rate of Pay: $24.11 $36.00
DAYS/HRS.: Full time permanent. Primarily Daytime hrs. Mon-Fri. Some Weekends required.
Be responsible for the preventative and maintenance of all process and packaging equipment throughout the facility consisting of pumps, belt conveyors, scroll conveyors, chains, sprockets, fans, bearing, and other production/packaging equipment. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions & repair Be responsible for welding, cutting, and setting and dismantling equipment. Be responsible for using hand and power tools Keep work area clean and safe at all times
Be a safety leader with solid safety behaviors and demonstrated leadership Be working in a team, rotating shift, context with goals and objectives Be committed to regular attendance and effective time management
