What You'll Do

As a member of the Manufacturing Engineering team, the Manufacturing Engineering Intern will work on a variety of projects including, factory transformation, MCX optimization, layout redesign of production floor and will provide ongoing project support.

  • Work with the Manufacturing Engineering team on the ongoing factory transformation initiative, focusing on modernizing processes, improving efficiency, and implementing advanced manufacturing techniques.

  • Work on optimizing the MCX product line, a critical instrument of our business.

  • Participate in redesigning the production floor layout, improve product flow, reduce waste, and enhance safety.

  • Provide support for various ongoing projects within the Manufacturing Engineering team.

  • Present on your internship learning and experience to the leadership team.

You Have:

  • Currently a sophomore or junior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, systems engineering, manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering or production engineering.

  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing, six sigma, kaizen, or other continuous improvement tools.

  • Mechanical understanding, including the ability or knowledge of specific manufacturing tools, equipment, and machinery.

  • Knowledge of quality control processes, including statistical process control (SPC) and familiarity with ISO standards.

  • Basic understanding of project management principles, including planning, execution, and monitoring of engineering projects.

  • Familiarity with basic programming languages (Visual basics, C++).

  • Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and practices.

  • Passionate about your work, with a genuine desire to contribute meaningfully and make an impact

  • Demonstrated commitment to integrity and respect in interactions with others, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment

  • Strong sense of accountability, taking ownership of tasks and following through on commitments

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and do not require sponsorship now or in the future

While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. You must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job responsibilities outside the typical office setting.
