Army Installation Management Command Lead Recreation Assistant (Physical Fitness) NF-02 in Fort Wainwright, Alaska

Responsibilities Opens and closes facility daily which includes turning on and off lights, TVs, music, steam room, sauna whirlpool, stocking towels, cleaning, etc. Instructs, monitors and assists other Recreation Aids in proper opening procedures, maintenance of the center, and standards required to keep the facility in tip-top shape to ensure guest satisfaction. Maintains a friendly, helpful demeanor around and towards guests in order to project a positive image for Sports, Fitness and Aquatics and our programs. Responsible for money handling and maintaining internal control practices as a cashier. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications 1.Must demonstrate the ability to offer excellent guest service. 2.Must have or be able to obtain current American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED training certification within 6 months of hire. Education Additional Information Area of Consideration: The Area of Consideration for this vacancy announcement is defined as the local commuting area. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600. Incentives and Bonuses Incentives may be paid but are not guaranteed. Up to 25% recruitment, relocation and/or retention incentive may be authorized. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, and are contingent upon eligibility.
