Job Summary: The Automation Engineering Project Manager will manage automation engineering projects utilizing all company resources, resulting in satisfied customers, increased productivity and increased profitability. The Automation Project Manager will report to the Automation Engineering Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage project resources and cost to ensure projects are performed to scope and within budget.

  • Perform Design Build or Bid Spec automation engineering projects.

  • Continually monitor assigned project staffing requirements for personnel requirements.

  • Oversee engineering design and construction of electrical control panels per UL508A.

  • Progress review of PLC and HMI programming development to insure schedules are met.

  • Control enclosure equipment and instrumentation procurement to meet project scheduling.

  • Project labor and cost tracking.

  • Submit accurate, timely and complete estimates and change order quotations.

  • Coordinate factory acceptance testing with client and confirm team preparedness for FAT review.

  • Assist with on-site system commissioning.

  • Satisfy customers' needs to develop repeat business.

  • Attend project team meetings, provide progress updates, and manage open issues.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology is preferred

  • 8+ years of experience in process or industrial Automation Engineering

  • Experience in automation design, testing, and system commissioning

  • Experience programming PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems

  • Experience managing $500 to $6 Million projects

  • Knowledge of process, automation, electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration

  • Experience generating schedules utilizing MS Project

  • Experience monitoring labor performance for purpose of identification of labor productivity and tracking progress

  • Ability to contribute to technical discussions in customer engineering meetings

  • Participation and support in marketing activities

  • Travel is a requirement of this position
