Associate Manager, F-35 Production Quality

Manages more than one functional area in Production Quality.

Responsible for:

Coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.

Responsible for resource allocation, work assignments and establishing/maintaining an effective business rhythm. Responsible for all aspects of quality for assigned area of responsibility. Communicates quality requirements, concerns and expectations.

Active participant in risk and opportunity management processes. Ensures cost commitments and financial responsibilities are met.

Ensures appropriate identification and flow down of quality requirements (internal and contractual) and effective implementation of quality requirements. Ensures effective implementation of quality management system within area of responsibility. Ensures effective implementation of a metrics program and actively address adverse trends. Ensures product acceptance and delivery per established process and program requirements.

Note: This job code will be used for quality personnel that have lead responsibility for a program with one or more quality disciplines.

Basic Qualifications:

- Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment

- Demonstrated full spectrum leader – ability to shape the future, energize the team, deliver results, build effective relationships and be accountable with high integrity and ethics

- Effective interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration

- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment, multi-task and meet deadlines

- Advanced understanding of Quality principles in Aerospace industry

- Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications

Desired Skills:

- Experienced in Quality Management Systems (AS9100, AS9102, AS9145)

- Experience working with Government customers

- Effective Communication and Presentation Skills

- Strong business acumen

- Experience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvement

- Effective communication skills, i.e., written, oral, listening and technical writing

- Experience in Root Cause Analysis and Effective Corrective Action Implementation

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
