We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army's Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft.This position is onsite in Fort Worth at Bells state of the art Manufacturing Technology Center at Hwy820 and I-35W.

Chemical Process Engineer, Manufacturing Innovation

Bring your innovative mindset to Bell to lead the way to the most advanced aircraft drive, structures and rotor technologies in the world.

You will have the opportunity to create and lead stimulating projects that result in direct applications for new designs.

You will work directly with Integrated Product Teams of various programs, as well as in-house engineers in robotics and automation, metallic materials, composite materials, and digital engineering.

Your career will accelerate with opportunities that provide hands-on experience with advanced manufacturing technologies, internal and external customer communications, and design-build-test experiences. What you'll be doing as a Chemical Process Engineer:

Develop novel and improved methods for processing components and assemblies.

Create project charters, test plans, and manufacturing readiness level roadmaps for project execution.

Interface with program dynamic systems and structures engineers, robotics and automation engineers, metallic and nonmetallic manufacturing innovation engineers, Bell technical fellows, program IPTs, and Bell manufacturing centers of excellence as well as special process suppliers.

Represent Bell with engagement in industry organizations, committees, and government/industry workshops and conferences.

Prepare and pitch technical proposals for independent research and development (IRAD) and contracted research and development (CRAD) for projects of high complexity.

Define and justify capital equipment, facilities, raw materials, subcontracted services, durable and perishable tooling requirements for the successful execution of projects.

Qualifications

Skills You Bring To this Role:

Extensive direct aviation experience with designs, planning, tooling, and manufacturing methods.Understanding of domestic and international chemical and environmental standards and regulations.Experience with process control & troubleshooting of metal finishing processes including mechanical and chemical cleaning, metal plating, and metal surface treatments.Familiarity with aerospace materials including metals, thermal treatments, and surface finishing.Effective communicator, both oral and written. Presentation skills, technical writing skills, and project organization, execution and reporting are most important. Bilingual capabilities are a bonus.Capability to manage projects with budget, schedule and resource allocations.We are looking for inquisitive and driven engineers with a passion to innovate. What you need to be successful:

Bachelor's degree with a Major in Engineering. Chemical Engineering degree preferred. Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience. Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered.At least 5 years of aerospace chemical process related experience required.DoD and industry specification direct experience.
