**SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Chief Information Officer, the Core Systems Administrator serves as a seasoned/proficient technical resource responsible for managing the design, operations, and integrations of the core banking system.
JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Act as the primary bank-appointed Core Systems Administrator, overseeing the core banking systems functionality, performance, and integration across the organization.
- Work closely with all departments and teams to seamlessly integrate the core banking system into various business processes and workflows, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and enhancing overall operational efficiency.
- Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of the core banking system. Implement improvements to enhance both internal and external user experiences, aiming to minimize service disruptions and system issues.
- Develop, analyze, and refine workflow processes to increase efficiency within the core banking system. Identify and act upon opportunities for continuous improvement to streamline operations.
- Manage relationships with vendors, including overseeing help desk tickets, support agreements, and service level agreements (SLAs). Ensure that vendor performance meets or exceeds contractual obligations and resolves issues promptly.
- Generate and analyze activity and monitoring reports to provide insights into key performance indicators (KPIs), potential risks, security events, and areas for improvement. Use these insights to drive informed decision-making and strategic planning.
- Lead and manage a team of Business Process Improvement (BPI) analysts. Oversee responsibilities related to event workflow, automation, process improvement, core integration, and dashboard creation.
- Provide technical support for the integration of the core banking system with various platforms and applications, including Cognos, SQL, FICS, and other industry-specific systems. Ensure seamless data flow and integration.
- Analyze data sets and create and maintain repeatable SQL queries for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data into the core banking system. Ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation for system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Ensure documentation is accessible and useful for current and future reference.
- Oversee the management of user accounts and access controls for all core platforms. Implement robust measures to protect customer information and prevent unauthorized access.
- Ensure all core system activities and changes comply with relevant policies and procedures, including FFIEC/GLBA guidelines and NIST/CIS controls. Conduct regular reviews to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Support and plan for user testing cycles related to core banking system upgrades. Ensure thorough testing and validation of new features or system changes to minimize disruptions and enhance functionality.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Air-conditioned office environment.
- Commute to various remote sites in the state of Texas using personal vehicle.
