Omnicell, Inc. Software Engineer III in Fort Worth, Texas

This role serves as part of a team developing and managing software code / processes for enterprise class business applications. This team member reports to a Senior Engineer – working on modular code units and/or smaller full projects or processes. This engineer is expected to be able to drive development on typical customer projects.

Responsibilities

  • Creating, managing, and monitoring automated data transform and load projects

  • Software development using SQL and/or C# for units of back-end systems supporting larger applications

  • Creating and managing Exception Monitoring solutions. Responding to and resolving monitoring events

  • Researching, debugging, and resolving code level exceptions reported

  • Developing solutions using 3 rd party tools for specific engineering challenges.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong understanding of SQL database design and programming.

  • Experience with RESTful APIs – ability to use specs to design applications.

  • Experience with ETL processes and tools such as Microsoft SSIS.

  • Experience in Agile development.

  • Ability to learn and use a variety of 3 rd party software tools to solve a variety of challenges.

  • Desire to develop and/or modernize applications with a eye toward modern cloud-based SaaS architectures

  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors or greater degree in Computer Science

  • 3+ years of experience working with SQL Server relational databases.

  • 3+ years of experience with RESTful APIs and XML/JSON

  • Demonstrated experience and success problem solving

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of use of C#

Work Conditions

  • Remote work is substantially available in normal operating conditions.

Hours: 9am to 5pm ET. On demand availability 24/7 for critical failures.
