Job Title: Line Cook

Job Description

A line cook, also known as a chef de partie or station chef, is responsible for managing a specific area of food preparation within a restaurant. Line cooks focus on particular types of food or preparation methods, such as butchering, fish, vegetables, sautéing, roasting, or grilling.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a specific area of food preparation.

  • Handling food preparation tasks such as cutting meat, mixing sauces, chopping vegetables, and preparing ingredients.

  • Cleaning and setting up the prep station before the shift.

  • Checking food prep and storage areas to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Assisting executive and sous chefs with daily tasks.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in food preparation and cooking.

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in food service.

  • Ability to perform tasks such as cutting meat, mixing sauces, and chopping vegetables.

  • Proficiency in cleaning and maintaining prep stations.

  • Ability to assist other chefs efficiently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in foodservice and familiarity with various cooking methods.

This is a Contract position based out of Fort Worth, Texas.

The pay range for this position is $16.25 - $16.25
