Physical Therapist PRN/per diem - Outpatient – TH Burleson
We are looking for a PRN/per diem Physical Therapist like you to join the Texas Health Family at our Texas Health Burleson Location.
Work Address: Texas Health Burleson; 2750 SW Wilshire Blvd. Burleson, TX 76028
Work hours: PRN/Per Diem; On an As Needed basis; Clinic is open Monday to Friday, no weekends and no holidays; Monday/Wednesday/Friday 8AM-6PM and Tuesday/Thursday 7AM-5PM, Outpatient setting
The Texas Health Neighborhood Care & Wellness Burleson, located about 15 miles south of downtown Ft. Worth, is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week to care for the medical needs of Johnson County. In fact, we’re more than an emergency department. With advanced imaging services, an on-site laboratory, cardiac rehabilitation and physical therapy services to help you get back on your feet, we’re an entire facility dedicated to providing quality health care to residents of the Burleson, Joshua and Crowley communities.
Here’s what you need:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree - completion of a Physical Therapy program required
Experience:
None required
1-2 years of PT experience preferred
Physical Therapist with Vestibular-Balance training and skill set as well as general orthopedic background preferred
Ability to perform hands on treatment and provide rehab programs for vestibular patients preferred
Use of vestibular goggles, computerized evaluation tools will be part of duties.
Licenses and Certifications:
PT - Physical Therapist Texas Physical Therapy License Upon Hire required
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
In addition to the required qualifications, a successful PT will
Good verbal and written communication skills in English
Problem solving ability along with ability to teach others
Time management skills and good interpersonal and customer service skills,
Basic leadership skills
Demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
Maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients
Possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism
Have basic computer skills using medical management application systems
What you will do:
Performs age-appropriate patient assessment and establishes plan of care
Evaluates each patient using age and diagnosis appropriate assessment tests and measurements, including appropriate outcome assessment
Determines plan for care, and/or appropriate therapeutic interventions to achieve stated goals
Uses therapeutic treatment techniques appropriate to patient age and desire for treatment
Documents all aspects of each treatment session in accordance with departmental, TJC, Medicare, and other applicable regulatory guidelines
Completes all documentation within established time frame
