Texas Health Resources Registered Nurse (RN) Wound Care (CWON) PRN in Fort Worth, Texas
We’re looking for a qualified CWON to join our Texas Health family .
Work location: Texas Health Southwest, 6100 Harris Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76132 and Texas Health Clearfork 5400 Clearfork Main Street, Ft. Worth TX 76109
Work hours: PRN , As needed - WOC is open Monday-Friday 7:30-5:00 so this position will work 1 day per week to help meet the needs within the department.
Wound Care (WOC) Department highlights:

- Magnet® designated facility
· Will work at both the Southwest Ft. Worth and Clearfork locations
· All inpatient/pre-operative areas with wound care and ostomy patients
Here’s What You Need
· Bachelor of Nursing degree (BSN) Required
· Two (2) Years’ Experience as a clinical nurse (RN) required
· BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support (prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly)required
· CWCN- Certified Wound Continence Nurse upon hire required or
CWON - Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse upon hire required or
CWOCN - Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse upon hire required
· One year of Wound Care/WOC RN experience strongly preferred
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training 90 days required
High degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
· Assesses the patient
· Plans the care of the patient
· Intervenes as appropriate
· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
