Branch & Bird Restaurant Assistant Manager in Fort Worth, Texas

OVERVIEW:

Branch & Bird is seeking a motivated and dynamic individual to join our team and take responsibility for Branch & Bird Restaurant located in Frost Tower downtown Fort Worth.

Friends and colleagues can meet in the restaurant for a local craft beer, an expertly-made cocktail or to sample the carefully-curated wine list. They can enjoy the cuisine in the recently renovated dining area itself, soft seating or sit outside on the Patio Terrace. The concept of Branch & Bird is simple - to create a home away from home for our guests where they feel comfortable and so, continue to return.

This position creates an amazing guest service experience by ensuring service standards are in place and that all team members have been trained to deliver a flawless service experience. Other duties include cash handling, mise en place, inventory and schedule management, food and labor costs. Lead, educate and motivate your team to success. 

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are currently seeking a Restaurant Manager to join the Brach and Bird Ft. Worth Team. This position will be responsible for all day-to-day operations of the restaurant and all staff.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build relations with key stakeholders, potential clients; community, businesses and guests while serving as a brand champion.

  • Actively supports the staffing process; verifies effective work processes, systems and teamwork are in place to maximize individual and overall performance.

  • Coaching with specific feedback and holds the team accountable while creating learning and development opportunities for employees.

  • Provides excellent and professional service, maintains a positive relationship with all clients/co-workers through effective, prompt communication and strives to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external clients. Interacts with guests and other customers on a frequent basis to obtain feedback about their experiences; utilizes feedback to recognize outstanding employee service performants and improve service delivery

  • Anticipates needs of large groups or high-profile guests in order to deliver exceptional service. Creates PR buzz with products, service and events that attain attention. Serves as a brand advocate and communicates a clear and consistent brand message to employees and leadership. Serves as a role model by demonstrating exceptional work ethic and service delivery for all employees.

  • Reviews business related data such as financial performance, inventory, employee engagement and customer satisfaction; analyze business information to proactively address changing market conditions. Uses information to understand how to operate to achieve profit margin goals. Uses information to identify indicators of product and service success and opportunities for improvement.

  • Conducts detailed walk-throughs to verify maintenance, safety and guest expectations are met and employees are properly trained and performing to standard.

  • Models and reinforces a positive working environment centered on company values.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Must be able to work weekends

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Proficient computer skills (MS Word and Excel)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a service industry management role

  • No minimum education requirements, however, H.S. Diploma or GED is preferred

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS ON THE ROLE / COMPANY:

  • Fast paced environment

  • Frequently lifting up to 30 lbs. individually and up to 50 lbs. with assistance

  • Work 45 - 50 hours per week
