HealthDrive Corporation Customer Care Specialist in Framingham, Massachusetts

Job Profile & Description The Customer Care Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with HealthDrive patients, Responsible Parties and/or other individuals who have either financial or health care authority for the patient. Essential Functions - Handle inbound calls with the highest professional standards, with each call being handled promptly professionally and compassionately with the end result of meeting the customers/callers needs; may direct to other departments as necessary (not expected to exceed 70% of the time) - Perform outbound calls to patients and/or responsible parties, facilities or other individuals as required. Tasks include: o Explanation of insurance coverage details for HealthDrive products & services o Welcome and overview of HealthDrive o Follow up on outstanding documentation [cash pay documentation, other]; explanation of clinical care recommendations o Communication w/defined ?responsible party? and/or family, other representative as required - Update Managers/Supervisors with feedback from customers to improve services or provide recognition of staff members - Other duties and tasks may be assigned as appropriate or necessary Skills & Specifications This individual must have excellent interpersonal skills and a strong ability to communicate both verbally and in writing. The Customer Care Specialist must have the ability to communicate complex information (insurance coverage) in simple, easy to understand language. He/she must be a creative problem solver and develop ethical, professional solutions for finding information, developing effective communication strategies and relationships. He/she should be highly organized, have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be comfortable and effective working with both custom and ?off the shelf? computer applications. This individual should be self motivated and have the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision. Physical Requirements - Ability to sit for long periods of time. - Ability to use office equipment such as computer, phone, fax and copier. - Ability to lift up to 10 lbs occasionally for duties related to office work. Education & Qualifications To qualify for this role the individual must have a minimum of an Associate?s Degree and/or equivalent work experience. Travel No Work Environment Office setting. Desk/Computer/ General office equipment. The noise level in this work environment is usually light to moderate. Direct Reports None
