Description
We are in search of a Tax Preparer. You will be involved in the CPA industry, focusing on handling a high volume of individual and business tax returns. This role involves direct interaction with clients to ensure an exceptional experience while also maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities:
• Handle the preparation of various tax returns, predominantly for individuals and small businesses.
• Act as the primary communication point for clients, answering their queries and ensuring a high-quality experience.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client data.
• Utilize UltraTax and Accounting CS for data input and QuickBooks for off-season client bookkeeping tasks.
• Engage in extensive tax planning and preparatory tasks to ensure a smooth tax season.
• Manage client interactions and represent the firm in a professional manner.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and efficiency in handling a high volume of tax returns.
• Participate in extended working hours during the peak tax season.
• Maintain a proactive approach towards tax preparation and future growth in the role.
• Display strong client communication skills with a professional and personable demeanor.
Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within a CPA firm or other related industry
• Proficient in accounting functions and principles
• Experience with Ultra Tax software
• Knowledge and experience with QuickBooks
• Proven experience in tax preparation
• Familiarity with Form 1099 and E1040
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
• Certified Tax Preparer or similar certification is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions
• High level of integrity and trustworthiness
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
