Robert Half Staff Accountant in Frankfort, Kentucky
Description We are offering a role in the automotive industry located in Frankfort, Kentucky, for a Staff Accountant. This role is a short-term contract opportunity where you will be responsible for various accounting tasks including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Bank Reconciliations, and managing the General Ledger.
Responsibilities:
• Process and manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) transactions
• Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
• Maintain the General Ledger and ensure it reflects the accurate financial status of the company
• Prepare and post journal entries as part of the month-end close processes
• Utilize various software systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for daily accounting tasks
• Ensure timely and accurate financial statements and reports
• Collaborate with other team members to support overall goals and objectives
• Identify and recommend improvements to streamline accounting processes
• Comply with all financial policies and regulations of the company. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Proven experience as a Staff Accountant in the Automotive industry
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations and Journal Entries
• Comprehensive understanding of General Ledger and Month End Close processes
• Proficiency in NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Knowledge of relevant accounting regulations and standards
• Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Excel
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
• High level of integrity and reliability.
