Microsoft Corporation Data Center Project Manager - Logistics in Frankfurt, Germany

As a Microsoft Datacenter Project Manager (DCPM), you will support the field operations leadership team to operationalize all strategic initiatives consistently at campus level, ensure financial planning and performance reviews in accordance with rhythm of the business calendars and manage scheduling conflicts with stakeholders.

Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. As a CO+I DCPM, you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Logistic projects with consistency, evaluate and increase productivity, efficiency and minimize incidents.

  • Local roll-out of projects driven by the regional logistics PM team

  • Structure and support onboarding and hiring of logistics technicians in the country.

  • Support IAM process reporting and create consistency in process over the country.

  • Support EHS Teams and IAM Teams on the EHS requirements and sharing best practices

  • Active support on audits ISO/R2A/GSMA/etc. on the IAM elements.

  • Support on change and process roll-outs.

  • Active involvement on IAM related projects (operations, pilots, requests from Region IAM PM).

  • Support Circular Center improvements where needed.

  • Support identifying and unblocking process issues in deployments and decom projects.

  • Support onboarding new sites, support Management with logistical asks.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent AND relevant year(s) industry experience with a focus in change management processes

  • OR significant industry experience and college course work with a focus in supply chain management processes

Background Check Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

While not required, we also look for the following Preferred Qualifications :

  • Significant Years’ experience in a 24x7x365 production environment or related experience

  • Relevant Years’ experience in datacenter processes and tooling or related experience

  • Significant Years’ experience in supply chain & change control processes

  • ITIL Foundation Certification

  • Technical College degree or certification in Supply Chain, Computer Science, Math, Telecommunications, or equivalent work experience
