About the role:
The Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division currently has an opening for a Senior Engineering Project Team Leader position. This position will bring challenging opportunities to develop reman engine strategies and further expand Cat Reman offerings. The role requires a balance of engineering capability and business acumen and helps support development towards both technical and leadership career paths.
Job responsibilities will Include but are not limited to:
Lead engine and engine component New Product Introduction (NPI) programs to introduce new Cat Reman service offerings to the market
Develop and implement strategies to remanufacture incremental engine families
Collaborate with marketing, product, manufacturing, and business resource teams to identify, prioritize, and execute project deliverables
Address challenges and solve problems to maintain project velocity and ensure customer satisfaction

Manages multiple high-risk, high-cost projects involving multiple stakeholders.
Coaches others in open communication among project stakeholders.
Monitors major projects for critical path and actual status versus planned.
Team Management: Knowledge of effective team building techniques; ability to form and manage effective teams.Level Expert Experience:

Troubleshooting Technical Problems: Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools and techniques; ability to anticipate, detect and resolve technical problems in a manufacturing environment.Level Expert Experience:
Evaluates business impact of failure and the criticality and timing of needed resolution.
Resolves difficult or high-impact product or process problems.
Coaches others how to resolve integration or communications problems.
Applies specific techniques for isolating a problem and defining resolution approach.
Uses advanced diagnostic techniques and tools for unusual or performance-related problems.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Demonstrated leadership of complex projects utilizing business acumen
Working knowledge of engines and engine components
Ability to effectively communicate technical information to a variety of audiences
Demonstrated collaboration and problem solving capability within a cross functional team
Experience with Remanufacturing and/or NPI program management
Additional Information:
The location for this position is in Mossville, Illinois; Franklin, Indiana; or Lafayette, Indiana.

Summary Pay Range:
$142,080.00 - $213,000.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
