Our client is a leading pharmaceutical company specializing in drug development and manufacturing solutions. They are currently seeking an experienced Analytical Scientist to join their dynamic Research and Development team.
Job Title: Analytical Scientist
Location: Franklin Township, NJ
Pay Range: $43 . $45 hourly
What’s the Job?
Method Development and Validation: Develop, improve, and validate analytical methods for various techniques such as HPLC, GC, Dissolution, UV-Vis Spectroscopy, FTIR, Microscopy, and Particle Size Distribution (PSD).
Analytical Support: Provide analytical support to the Analytical Development team, including routine analysis of APIs, excipients, and finished products using laboratory techniques and instrumentation.
Impurity Identification and Compatibility Studies: Assist in complex experiments and tasks, such as unknown impurity identification and excipient compatibility studies.
Timely Analytical Support: Prioritize activities to provide timely analytical support to product development and anticipate analytical issues early in the R&D development process.
Documentation and Reporting: Participate in the preparation of technical documents, including validation protocols and reports, reference standard qualification reports, and analytical test procedures.
What’s Needed?
Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree (BS) or Master's degree (MS) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.
Relevant Experience:
For BS degree holders: 4+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in Analytical R&D.
For MS degree holders: 2+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in Analytical R&D.
Technical Skills:
Hands-on experience in method development, validation, and improvement techniques such as HPLC, GC, Dissolution, UV-Vis Spectroscopy, FTIR, Microscopy, and Particle Size Distribution (PSD) analysis.
Knowledge of GXP, regulatory (ICH), and compendial (USP/EP/JP) requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to anticipate analytical issues early in the R&D development process and provide long-term planning for analytical method development and improvement.
Capability to support formulation development, transfer activities, and investigations of method performance, reliability, and optimization studies.
Communication and Organizational Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English to convey and receive ideas and instructions within and outside the organization.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
