Program Overview Counseling Center at Carbon Valley Counseling is not just for those of us who live with mental health challenges. It is for developing skills to become the best version of yourself for yourself and those around you. Taking care of your mental health looks like talking through challenges with a professional, gaining coping skills for life's stressors, and having a space to be heard. The Counseling Center at Carbon Valley provides individual, couples, family, and group counseling services. Additionally, the center provides child/adolescent groups, early childhood development education and assessment, intensive in-home therapy, medication management, psychiatric services, neurofeedback, and substance use disorder outpatient services.

Sign-On Bonus Available Licensed Clinicians $7,000.00 Unlicensed Clinicians $5,000.00

Salary Placements will vary and may be above the starting wage based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, education, and licensure. Salary placements generally occur between the starting wage and the midpoint of the salary range.

Employees may be eligible for additional pay based on program, evening, night, weekend, or holiday work. Bilingual pay may be available upon successful passing of language validation testing.

Mental health clinicians provide ongoing assessment, crisis intervention, individual, family, and group therapy, and case management services. They develop strength-based service plans, monitor treatment progress, document interactions, and maintain electronic clinical records and other reporting data for individuals with mild to severe mental illness and/or substance use disorders. Coordinates with internal as well as external supportive services to deliver needed services to clients. Collaborate with clinical supervisor, other team members, and psychiatrist regarding treatment.

With a Collaborative, Customer First, and Compassionate approach, Mental Health Clinicians will: Embrace the North Range Behavioral Health Mission Statement - Provide compassionate, comprehensive care for people who face mental health and addiction challenges. Provide person-centered assessment, goal planning, and treatment for mental health and/or substance use issues. Provide screening, intakes, and assessment of clients utilizing required instruments and formats within appropriate timelines. Develop strength-based written treatment plans/updates and continuing care plans and make appropriate referrals. Complete written discharge summaries and correspondence within established timelines. Observe clients in a variety of situations. Assess the diagnosis and mental status of clients, evaluate the current level of functioning, and develop and implement treatment/service plans to address clients' needs. Collaborate with other clinicians, external providers, and psychiatrists to provide services to clients. Maintain close and cooperative relationships with community agencies and other public agencies in carrying out treatment/service plans. Collaborate continuously with assigned clients in order to devise safety planning, provide symptom management, identify support s stems, and reduce and mitigate risk factors. May deliver services to clients in their homes or other settings in the community. Maintain electronic health records in accordance with agency standards; confirm coding of services rendered is ethically appropriate and results in successful billing. This may include entry into partnering agency electronic systems (i.e., integrated care).

Minimum Qualifications: A master's degree in counseling, social work, or another behavioral health discipline from an accredited college or university is required. A Valid Driver's License and driving record that meets with hiring requirements as set forth for someone who must transport clients/program participants is required.
