Randstad Federal is seeking a Business Analyst in support of a federal program at IRS

location: Frederick, Maryland

job type: Contract

salary: $60 - 70 per hour

work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and developing solutions to enhance operational efficiency. The Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, document processes, and ensure successful implementation of business and IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into functional specifications.

  • Conduct thorough analysis of existing business processes to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Develop and document detailed business process models, workflows, and use cases.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and test business solutions.

  • Facilitate meetings and workshops with stakeholders to elicit requirements and ensure alignment on project goals.

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements documents, functional specifications, and user stories.

  • Perform data analysis and generate reports to support decision-making and strategic planning.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of new business processes and systems.

  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure that solutions meet business needs and requirements.

  • Provide ongoing support and training to end-users to ensure successful adoption of new systems and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.

  • strong understanding of business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques.

  • Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) is a plus.

  • Familiarity with business process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart) is preferred.
