We are seeking a professional like you to join our Freeport, TX site in the Acrylics 300 Block. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for supporting the daily operation of the unit while providing technical assistance in executing the required production plan. You will apply Engineering Best Practices to solve process and production problems and create improvements in the plant operations. You will analyze productivity, quality, and maintenance data and use that information to optimize existing plant equipment. This position requires you to demonstrate your strong leadership qualities in safe plant operation, as the site has PSM/RMP regulated chemicals.

Supporting and role model EHS activities and processes, such as developing and implementingprocesses to achieve compliance with EHS regulations.
Leading the coordination, completion, and documentation of PSSR / MOC reviews to meet process safety and environmental requirements.
Providing technical support in root cause failure analysis for EHS incidents.
Providing technical support and troubleshooting skills to the Daily Operations Team.
Monitoring operations on a daily/weekly basis, analyzing and studying trends to determine patterns, research inefficiencies, and identify action plans to correct issues.
Developing and implementing process improvement plans that will enhance safety, quality, plant reliability, cost, and efficiency.
Supplying your engineering expertise in the specification, design, and construction of projects in accordance with plant design requirements, BASF standards, and regulatory requirements as well as serving as the Manufacturing Representative on Capital Projects.
Developing critical thinking and trouble-shooting skills of the production staff.
Support plant outages being involved in the planning and execution of plant turnarounds.
If you...
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical preferred).
Are familiar with chemical processes and equipment and count with a continuous improvement mindset.
Are available to be on call should you need to respond to any after-hours event that impacts production or EHS.
