Job Summary

Serves as an Operations IT/OT global subject matter expert providing first- and second-level technical management, support, and oversight of a defined set of global processes, procedures, and I/T applications, tools and systems aligned with one or more Operations IT/OT technology disciplines and/or business process areas. Leads technical and work process support and oversight at a corporate level to enable adoption and use of corporate, best-in-class processes and applications by end users across all businesses and at all sites. Requires advanced skills and expertise in a range of processes, procedures, and systems, along with specialized technical expertise within an analytics/scientific method area or operational process to lead a broad range of complex deliverables. Leads and executes tasks and activities aligned to the high-level Operations IT/OT strategy along with technology discipline and/or business process multi-generation plans to support optimal capability of processes, procedures, and related IT solutions. Leads Operations and cross-functional teams to deliver strategic technical, work process, and management system improvements within the corporate MET1 (Most Effective Technology) Operations IT/OT solution portfolio, including coordinating support of MET2 (business) and MET3 (site) applications as appropriate based on agreements.

This role is part of the Operations IT/OT organization which is comprised of architecture, domain and business process experts who facilitate collaboration between function /discipline, business, and other cross-functional experts in the application of corporate level, best-in-class information technology (IT) to enable end-to-end businesses processes and related product and equipment digital threads from an Operations Excellence perspective. The basis of this collaboration is the shared objective of defining, delivering and supporting sustainable IT/OT solutions that provide optimal capability at minimal lifecycle cost to enable safe, reliable, quality, and productive Operations which support best-in-class Employee and Customer Experiences.

Responsibilities / Duties

  • Serves as a corporate technical expert working across all businesses and regions to ensure technical expertise and guidance is in place related to system architecture, work process and related management system best practices within the area(s) of scope. Sets and executes the strategy for effective and efficient implementation of Operations IT/OT MET1 solutions across all businesses and across applicable functional and cross-functional organizations (i.e., in support of improvements to current SAP functionality, plant start-ups, new business implementations, etc.)

  • Partners with Operations, Businesses, and cross-functional leaders to execute the global strategy for management of end user and/or super user networks to strengthen collaboration and improve overall site/Business Operations IT/OT performance and system effectiveness and efficiency. Contributes or defines the enduser strategy development in their area.

  • Leads timely and effective development, testing, and implementation of Operations IT/OT MET1 or MET2 solutions (applications and tools) in support of business and functional strategies related to business processes, work processes, and policies and procedures.

  • Manages and ensures effectiveness of routine support for user issues across all regions and sites by using metrics. Leads and conducts advanced training, consulting, support and troubleshooting activities and ensure appropriate life cycle management of IT/OT applications within area(s) of scope. Ensure resolution of issues, escalating support needs appropriately.

  • Sets and executes the strategy and leads/advises teams focused on creation, update, management, adoption, and use of job aids, training materials, and metrics related to IT applications and tools, system functionality, and related work processes.

  • Monitors functional, business, and site-level performance measures related to system functionality, work process and application life cycle management and leads strategic gap closure activities and other opportunities for improvement. Proactively identifies potential risks and possible for mitigation.

  • Sets and executes the strategy for targeted improvement initiatives related to the Operations IT/OT technical area(s) of focus, including training, document updates, metric updates, and other change management activities. Looks for strong cross functional integration opportunities. Ensures effective stakeholder management and change communications are provided to key stakeholders and sponsors for all initiatives within the area(s) of scope.

  • Coordinates and executes functional and cross-functional training related to the technical area(s) of scope. Ensures broad leveraging of best practices and sharing of learning experiences across applicable networks. Assesses impact of key learnings on the Operations IT/OT strategy and identifies opportunities for improvements to the overall MET1 solution to optimize adoption and utilization across sites, businesses, and function.

  • Leads and supports key technical aspects of the Operations IT/OT solution within large project and Merger/Acquisition/Divestiture activities, including assuring team deliverables are fulfilled related to data identification/cleansing/transfer/validation (for structured and unstructured data), testing, health checks, defect resolution, etc. Sets and executes the strategy for business and site integration and carve out relative to the technical area(s) of scope. Partners cross-functionally to evaluate/validate/implement and ensure appropriate gate-keeping and risk mitigation from a MET1 ownership perspective – includes development/assessment of new tools and systems.

  • Ensures processes and procedures are in place and business process expertise and contracted support are provided to on-site Joint Ventures, 3rd Party / i-Park clients based on established agreements.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree (or equivalent in country of residence if outside of the US) with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Maintenance administration or related technical fieldORrelevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class ranking.

  • A minimum of 5 years of manufacturing and/or I/S-related experience.

  • For U.S. Applicants: A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of plant maintenance and/or MRO experience in work process roles such as Planner, WAC, Inventory coordinator

  • 5 years in usage of SAP PM and/or MRO module in day to day activities

  • SAP related certification such as TERP10

  • Experience in design technical solutions in the SAP space and knowledge in SAP standard configuration space
