Our client is a global, research-driven pharmaceutical focusing on treatment options for diseases and conditions for which there is no satisfactory treatment option to date. The company is looking for a Manufacturing Technician to join the team.
Location: Fremont, CA
Contract length: 1 year
Pay : $21-$23/hr.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute all routine unit operations in Purification independently
Oversee change-over procedures and manage scheduling within the shift team
Perform cleaning and setup of equipment
Conduct in-process testing, including cell counting, spectrophotometry, and environmental monitoring
Monitor and control critical parameters such as weights, flows, volumes, temperatures, pressure, and pH
Identify and report any issues related to manufacturing performance, process, and safety
Assist in the investigation of deviations to facilitate continuous process improvement
Train junior staff on various unit operations, including bioreactors, cell separation, chromatography, tangential flow theory, and CIP/SIP operations
Collaborate with the team and department to follow best practices and achieve departmental goals
Report issues related to manufacturing performance, process, and safety to the manager to ensure compliance with regulations, adherence to cGMPs, and support for continuous process improvement
Qualifications:
Associate's degree with at least 1 year of closely related technical experience, preferably in a pharmaceutical or chemicals manufacturing environment
Experience with established GMP procedures and bulk manufacturing is a plus
Technical knowledge of manufacturing systems, methods, and procedures
Understanding of purification and cell culture processes
Strong troubleshooting skills with equipment and processes.
