Job Title: 1st Shift Tooling Machinist

Job Description

The tooling machinist will set toolings into production equipment, ensuring proper setup and operation. Responsibilities include fabricating tooling replacements as needed, evaluating vinyl tooling for repair, and coordinating with outside vendors for repairs. The machinist will also track tooling repairs to evaluate turnaround time and cost. Additional duties involve studying specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions to determine materials and machinery required, computing dimensions, planning layout, and determining assembly methods and sequences of operations. The machinist will set up and operate lathes, mills, and grinders to machine parts, fabricate assemblies for production machinery from various materials, and recommend design changes for standard or previously used dies, tools, jigs, fixtures, and machinery components. General maintenance tasks include plumbing, machine repair, general diagnostics, pneumatics, hydraulics, rigging, and facilities maintenance. Housekeeping duties are also required.

This is a fully on-site position in Fremont, Ohio.

Work Environment

This is a non-climate controlled environment with older equipment. The position is first shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:00am to 3:30pm. The pay rate is $28-$39/hr.
