Description
Tyler Houk (Practice Director) with Robert Half has a top-notch opportunity for a permanent Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join the team at a successful company in the Food & Food Processing industry. The Accounts Payable Clerk will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks and expense reports. This dynamic department will provide you with opportunities for career growth and advancement. The opening for a permanent Accounts Payable Clerk is in the Fresno, California area.
What you get to do every day
Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling
Provide support during internal and external audits
Execute additional tasks as needed
Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs
Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks
Execute daily processes and controls accurately and in a timely manner; ensuring compliance with company policies
Execute full-cycle A/P
Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them
Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis
Requirements
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
Deep understanding of data entry
Foundational knowledge in Code Invoices
Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
Command of Payable Invoices
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
