Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Assistant in Fresno, California

Description Job Summary: The Human Resources Assistant supports the HR department in various administrative tasks, helping to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This role involves maintaining employee records, assisting in recruitment processes, and providing clerical support to all employees.

Administrative Support: Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Prepare and distribute HR-related documents such as employment contracts, onboarding materials, and policy manuals. Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and correspondence. Recruitment and Onboarding: Post job openings on the company's careers page, job boards, and social media channels. Screen resumes and applications to identify experience in candidates. Schedule and coordinate interviews with candidates and hiring managers. Assist in the onboarding process, including preparing new permanent paperwork and conducting orientation sessions. Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries and issues. Assist in organizing employee events, meetings, and training sessions. Support the implementation of HR policies and procedures. Payroll and Benefits: Assist in processing payroll and maintaining payroll records. Help with the administration of employee benefits programs. Address employee questions regarding payroll and benefits. Compliance and Record-Keeping: Ensure HR practices comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee files and records. Assist in preparing documentation for audits and compliance reviews. Requirements • Minimum of one year of experience in a similar role or in the field of Human Resources

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

• Experience with filing, organizing and maintaining documents

• Skill in scanning documents and ensuring their proper storage in digital format

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field preferred
