Job Title: Medical Assembler

Job Description

This role, known as the Pilot Operator, involves working at the R&D facility to perform prototype assemblies and assist in building new product lines. You will collaborate directly with engineers and technicians to improve and build the lines. The work will take place both inside and outside of the cleanroom, and you will be cross-trained in multiple areas for versatility and adaptability. Initially, you will start in the packaging and testing area to familiarize yourself with different parts and processes. This area focuses on final packaging and testing phases, including operating a vertical reflow machine for coating and laminating parts. As you gain experience, you will cross-train in other areas including assembly/operating, grinding, and lab work.

Hard Skills

  • Medical assembly experience (4+ years)

  • Experience working with R&D department and engineers

  • Proficiency with hand tools (tweezers, pliers, crimpers, screwdrivers)

  • Soldering and light welding

  • Microscope usage

  • Operating flattener and semi-automated reflow machines

  • Injection mold press operation

  • Grinding and deburring

  • Computer and vision systems for inspections

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Fridley, Minnesota.

Work Environment

The position is located in a new facility built within the last 5 years, featuring both cleanroom and non-cleanroom environments, as well as a lab area. You will work with a team of 10-15 people, including management, leads, assemblers, engineers, and technicians. The environment is well-lit, open, and temperature-controlled, with some areas containing machines that are not overly loud. This is an R&D site focused on building and optimizing processes for manufacturing.
