Medtronic Senior Financial Analyst - R&D COE in Fridley, Minnesota

The team is working hybrid and the preference is for the position to be onsite for 3 days per week in Fridley, MN, but will consider candidates for the Lafayette, CO, site.

This position serves as a key member of the Global R&D COE team supporting the Cranial and Spinal Technology Operating Unit within the Neuroscience Portfolio. This role is critical to delivering on our financial commitments and continuously driving improvements, standardization, and efficiencies within our processes. The successful candidate will partner with the Finance Director of CST R&D, the CST R&D Finance team, the R&D Finance COE and will have ad hoc opportunities for business partnering.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Improve processes, systems and tools for project accounting and standardized reporting

• Prepares reports of findings and recommendations, compiles and consolidates financial plans and provides insights to management.

• Support and manage projects / processes supporting the R&D COE, CST R&D team, and key stakeholders

• Participate in weekly CST R&D Finance team meetings and provide ideas and recommendations for process improvement and efficiency opportunities

• Serve as an intermediary between the R&D COE and the CST OU

• Other AdHoc projects and requests

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting OR Advanced Degree (2+ years with an Advanced degree)

Nice to Have

• Team player with strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills for creating actionable insights and analysis

• Experience with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

• Working Experience supporting an OU

• Experience with business intelligence and reporting systems Experience with Medtronic financial systems: SAP, Essbase/Hyperion & Business Objects

• Experience with PowerBI reporting

The provided base salary range is used nationally (except in certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
