Job Title: Continuous Improvement & Quality Black Belt
Summary:Join our team as a CIQ BB and take charge of driving the identification, prioritization, and successful execution of strategic projects and programs within our dynamic Performance Additives business. This position is eligible for our flexible work policy/a hybrid work schedule (working in the office with some days working remotely).
Responsibilities Include:
Strategic:
Work closely with segments and functional owners to translate Quality, Cost, and Growth goals into Continuous Improvement strategies/projects, with quantifiable results.
Work closely with sites to translate gaps identified from tools/processes such as the Operational Excellence Maturity Model, Management Operating System (MOS), Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Customer Complaints, Out of Spec/Slow Moving Inventory (OOS/SMI), and GLIMS into CI projects with quantifiable results.
Build and leverage strong Finance partnerships to ensure a clear line of sight to how project success supports key business metrics of Quality & Service, EBITA Growth, Capacity Creation, Cost & Cash Flow Improvements including CapEx Efficiency & Avoidance, and Safety
Coach, train, and develop Green Belts, project champions, and executives in Continuous Improvement methodology and project management skills.
Provide expert guidance and mentoring to multiple Continuous Improvement project teams/Green Belts.
Provide “on the ground” technical support as needed to strengthen the DMAIC/Lean capability and skill set of site Black Belts and Green Belts as well as all project managers within the business/segments
Utilize change management to drive results.
Operational:
Manage project development and selection, development of project plans, financial evaluations, and metrics identification; follow toll gate/stakeholder reviews; maintain project reporting systems as needed.
Drive and execute Continuous Improvement projects with a primary focus on Business Growth and Quality as assigned and/or identified.
Maintain/achieve CI Black Belt certification
Facilitate project/program charter development process, selection, assignment, and project execution
Qualifications:
The following are required for the role
Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Science, or Engineering
Minimum of 5+ years experience in operations, technical, or manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated project management skills; Project Management Professional certification or Green Belt certification
Strong working skills with Microsoft Office tools (particularly MS Excel)
Highly motivated individual with strong organizational skills and experience driving continuous improvement across a collaborative matrix organization
Outstanding facilitation, problem-solving, and Root-Cause / Corrective Action skills
Effective communication style that builds strong relationships and impacts outcomes and decisions across all levels of the organization
Ability to collect and analyze large data sets using Minitab or other statistical program
The following are preferred skills for the role.
Lean/SixSigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification
Master’s degree or higher in Operations Management, Science, Engineering
Change management skills to drive both single-site and global programs/projects
Experience working with multiple stakeholders across global business and functions
Strong track record of working effectively as an individual contributor as well as in cross-functional and global teams
Strong analytical expertise coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
Experience with SAP Enterprise Software
Adept at managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
**Up to 10% Global Travel Required

What We Offer:Base Pay Range: $99,000.00 - $145,750.00
The actua l salary offered i s determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill set s, and geography. Local geographic pay differentials may not be reflected in the above pay range and will be discussed with you by a member of the HR team when applicable . Additionally, this role is eligible for incentive or sales variable compensation payments. The amount of these incentives is based on the terms of the Company's incentive plans, the Company's financial performance, and/or individual employee job performance.
