Job Title: Summer 2025 Reliability Engineering Intern

Summary:You will be responsible for chartering and executing a variety of projects falling under the categories of Preventive and Predictive maintenance, Automated Condition Based Maintenance, Mechanical Reliability, and Root Cause Corrective Actions for poor-performing assets.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Activity Based Maintenance

  • Project to aid Engineering Staff in the installation of wireless instrumentation and further development of our Activity Based Maintenance Program.

  • RCCA/Bad Actors Improvement

  • 1-2 projects to improve the reliability of assets with low Mean Time Between Failures.

  • Perform SAP data analysis in conjunction with Production OEE data to establish Financial Justification for Reliability projects.

  • Apply Root Cause and troubleshooting techniques to identify reliability solutions.

  • Preventative and Predictive Maintenance

  • Reliability KPI report generation that will aid the Site in Strategic Planning of routine maintenance.

  • Project to audit and rationalize Critical Equipment maintenance plans which will require: interfacing with Production Staff, refining PM tasks, and level-loading PM schedules.

  • Project to aid in the development of revitalized Asset Outage planning. The project will require scoping work, organizing outage team(s), recording the process, and executing improvements.

  • Assist the Reliability Team in day-to-day investigations and Production support.

Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

  • Pursuing a Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering undergraduate or graduate degree

  • Able to function in an industrial setting, work safely, and manage multiple projects.

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Applications, emphasis on Excel.

  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.

Program Requirement

  • The candidate must be actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at the time of application and for at least one semester following the conclusion of the internship.

  • The candidate is expected to be available to work in person 40 hours a week for 10-12 weeks between May and August.

    ** Students enrolled in a Graduate degree level program are eligible to receive a higher rate than the range listed below. Master's rate: $32/hr; PhD rate: $37/hr

What We Offer:Base Pay Range: $22.00 - $26.00
