PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze and resolve transaction variances during the daily settlement reconciliation process.

• Reconcile each network/endpoint’s settlement received against the internal processing platform/switch to ensure appropriate settlement is received and identify any settlement differences.

• Research and resolve all out of balances conditions.

• Reconcile and validate settlement received against settlement paid out to clients.

• Utilize daily match and kill process to identify exceptions requiring further handling.

• Research and process exceptions to appropriately settle exception adjustments to cardholders and terminals.

• Prepare Daily Settlement Reconciliation (DSR) to be utilized in the Reconciliation of the Settlement Bank Account

• Perform the Switch Settlement Bank account reconciliation

• Account for, research and resolve all reconciling items on the Switch Settlement Bank account

• Review and ensure all approvals are obtained on the DSR and the Settlement Bank Account recons

• Reconcile sub-system processes such as Network Chargebacks and Adjustments, Bank Return Items, and Pending settlement items that flow through the Switch Settlement Bank account

• Maintain open communications between internal and external customers

• Assist other team members and perform other tasks within the department as required by management

• Drive change from a team member perspective with regard to the implementation of automated systems and the streamlining of existing processes.

• Special projects as assigned.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Demonstrate good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify cause and effect and communicate results in a structured manner

• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, time management skills and the ability to handle multiple deadlines daily

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications

• Must be able to work well with others, specifically within a team environment

• Ability to organize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.

• Strong analytical skills to diagnose issues and develop solutions.

• Enthusiastic team player, but also capable of working independently
