NW Works, Inc. ATF VA Custodial Supervisor in Front Royal, Virginia

Summary

The ATF Custodial Supervisor is responsible for providing direct contract services and support services as needed on site at the facility to ensure contract fulfillment. Responsibilities include training workers and helping them reach their employment goals. Demonstrates the ability to make decisions independently and ensure that assignments are completed on time, within budget and by customer standards.

Essential Functions:

  • In collaboration with the Government Contract Manager, the Custodial Supervisor acts as a lead for NW Works on site day to day with knowledge of custodial building care and specialized equipment as needed.
  • Oversees the completion of all tasks outlined in the scope of work for the site, including but not limited to grounds maintenance, mowing, watering, fertilizing, seeding and weed control. As well as janitorial services to maintain the appearance of the buildings including but not limited to keeping offices and workstations clean, trash picked up, restrooms clean, recyclables picked up, lab floors, hallways and lobby areas, kennel and training room floors maintained.
  • Collaborate with site personnel to prepare for set up and takedown for special events that may include additional trash pickup, grounds work, furniture and equipment moving, paint touchup, specific area cleanup.
  • Acquire and oversee services provided by subcontractors for special tasks such as snow removal or special grounds projects.
  • Manage on site workers across several locations and buildings as needed. Collaborate and communicate effectively with job coaches or other staff from NW Works to ensure all staff on site are progressing in building skills and completing tasks with competence. Interface and coordinate with government employees such the COR and building manager.
  • Manage employee time and attendance and maintain compliance with policy.
  • Responsible for occasional transportation of workers to various job locations.
  • Maintain a culture of safety through periodic training, huddles and other mechanisms.
  • Communicate and collaborate with the Government Support Specialist with needs and events that arise through day-to-day activities.
  • Adheres and maintains compliance with the policies and procedures of NW Works.
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED.

Preferred Experience:

  • Two (2) years experience in the human service field or custodial service in an industrial environment.
  • One (1) year experience in a supervisory role in a similar field.
