Dates of Need: 4/23/2024-12/31/2024. Six (6) months recent and verifiable experience with references required as a beekeeper. May not have bee, pollen or honey-related allergies. Must be able to obtain appropriate non-CDL drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Must be able to lift 75 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.

Raises honey bees to produce honey and maintain colony health through feed/supplements; find and cage queens, install queen cells; assembles bee hives, inserts honeycomb of bees into hives; forces bees from hive; uncaps harvested honeycombs and extracts approx. 75 pounds of honey from honeycomb; must be able to lift 75 pound boxes for honey transport; transporting bee boxes from hives to extracting facility; driving pickup to obtain parts and supplies, honey extracting equipment and misc. tools used to work with honey bees; maintenance and repairs on equipment and colony boxes. May have to work nights, possibly weekends. Additional hours of work, i.e., on Sabbath, or holidays may be offered in the job order, but may not be required; maintaining of worksite and equipment; also cleaning location and equipment; Attends cattle herd in pens or in pasture. Attend to cattle to include: Herding cattle while riding horseback, UTV, ATV\'s or walking on foot. Protect cattle from attack of predatory animals, i.e. coyotes, mountain lions, bears, wolves etc. Observe and/or examine animals to detect illness or injury; treat ill or injured cattle as directed by employer; Assist with branding, castrating, vaccinating, tagging, weaning, trailing, sorting and loading cattle onto trucks for transfer to new range or to transport to market. Maintain meadows/fields and repair/maintain fences and corrals to keep animals in the assigned range/pasture and to protect them from dangers such as roads, noxious weeds and poisonous plants. Feed cattle and ensure they have access to water. Must be able to saddle and ride a horse in a safe and effective manner such as to avoid injury to self, coworkers, bystanders, and the horse itself. As needed, worker will be required to shoe horses. Must assist with irrigating crops. Must be able to operate tractors while maintaining adequate air pressure in tires and oil/fuel levels in machinery. Will be required to operate tractors and farm machinery as it pertains to the farm production of crops such as hay, corn, silage and supplemental livestock feed including but not limited to disking, planting, spraying, ground preparation and harvesting. Will be required to operate and maintain a 4-wheeler in a safe and effective way. Noyes Cattle Co. LLC facilitate practices of good animal husbandry. Employees that are found abusing, neglecting or abandoning livestock entrusted to their care may be terminated for cause. If the negligent/abusive actions of an employee result in the loss/death of livestock/animals or cause harm to another person, the employee may be held accountable for these actions. The worker will live in the employer provided range housing. Said housing will be clean and in good repair at the time it is provided to the employee. The employee is responsible to maintain the housing unit in a responsible level of cleanliness in order to avoid flies, mice or other vermin. The employee is responsible to alert the employer of damage to the housing unit within a reasonable amount of time. This position is physically demanding and operates primarily outdoors in all types of weather. May not have bee, pollen or honey-related allergies.

Operating tools and equipment as applicable and noted in the job description as well as operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is dangerous. Operator manuals have label warnings Do Not Operate Under the Influence of Drugs or Alcohol. Work Comp Insurance as well as vehicle insurance companies require safety compliance. Poor judgment, improper driving, etc. can result in serious and fatal accidents. Employer has a strict policy prohibiting drug use. Any drug testing will be post hire and at the employer\'s expense. Assisting with the employers farming operation includes lifting agricultural tools and equipment that weigh up to the lifting requirement listed at 75 pounds. Employer may request but cannot require workers to work on their Sabbath. The nature of farm work may require workers to work after dark and possibly weekends depending on weather conditions. Hours offered may vary based on factors such as weather or other unpredictable variables that impact the farms operation. (as applicable and per the job description) Employer may, at the company\'s sole discretion, pay workers an hourly rate above the minimum required and/or offer a bonus to any seasonal worker employed pursuant to this job order depending on how many years of experience they have obtained by working for the employer or other factors such as work performance, skill, punctuality, licensing, training, prior work experience, etc.
